About the Law Technology News Awards
In October 2003, the editors of Law Technology News® asked the publication’s 40,000 subscribers
to select products and vendors that represented outstanding achievement in 13 categories of
legal technology. Ballots were bound into all copies of the magazine and delivered to LTN’s
audience of law firm partners and managing partners, legal administrators, MIS/IT directors
and specialists, corporate counsel, litigation support specialists, librarians and other
legal professionals. Only original ballots (no copies) were accepted, and the cutoff date
for receipt of votes was November 30, 2003. Beta Research tabulated the ballots, and winners
were determined based on the most-mentioned products/company in each category. Winners were
honored at LegalTech New York, on February 3, at the New York Hilton hotel, at a special awards
dinner.
